[트립합] Portishead - Roads
트립합의 고향인 Bristol에서 멀지 않은 도시의 이름을 땄다는 Portishead는 Geoff Barrow, Beth Gibbons, Adrian Utley의 영국 삼인조 트립합 밴드이다. 배로우가 워낙에 완벽주의자인 까닭에 1991년 결성 후 현재까지 앨범 네장을 발표했다고 합니다. 베쓰 깁슨의 블루스 창법, 테입을 이용한 스크래칭, 옛날 냄새 나는 기타와 키보드 사운드가 특징입니다.
1994년 발표된 앨범 Dummy는 영국 앨범 차트에서는 2위 미국 차트에도 100위 안에 들어 상업적으로도 성공하였습니다. 특히 이 앨범에서는 Numb, Glory Box, Sour Times이 인기를 끌었습니다.

영화를 참 좋아하는 멤버들 성향처럼 영화음악에도 많이 참여했는데 이 곡 또한 영화 The Watcher (2000)와 Tank Girl (1995)에 삽입되기도 하였습니다.
